Vintage Eco Lodge is a family owned and managed business.
Our Story
Vintage Eco Lodge and Campsite was founded in 2012 by Mustapha, who saw a vision of an eco lodge and natural haven that would foster a botanical flora and fauna. The land was originally a plain grassland with a few acacia trees, a river flowing through it and marshland.
For the next few years, the founder and his wife Rahmah, also a co-director of this amazing establishment, went on to plant different tree species, flowers and other plants, cleared and paved waterways for the river to meander through the eco lodge.
After many years of hard work, care and patience, the Eco Lodge blossomed, and is now a natural home to various bird species and monkeys, beautiful and exotic flowers and plants, a variety of trees, an island surrounded by the river, as well as fish habiting in the waters.
Founder & director
Mutyaba Mustapha
Mustapha is an entrepreneur that owns various investments in real estate, and other business ventures.
However, his main love is preserving nature. He is also an avid collector and lover of everything vintage including classic cars and old artifacts.
As a family man, Mustapha runs Vintage Eco lodge with his wife Rahmah as well as his children, who actively engage in the well-being of the natural haven during their school holidays.

Rahmah Barungi
As a co-founder and director of Vintage Ecolodge and Campsite, Rahmah is also a business woman working alongside her husband Mustapha.
Rahmah is not only a loving mother and wife, but also a great advisor and strategist with all affairs of the Eco lodge.
